I have had the idea for a little spring jackets with mod details for a while, bat as with all of my projects here in Peru, finding the fabric I imagined has been very difficult.
I had finally given up on the project and decided to wait for my return to new york, when killing time in an upholstery/tapestry shop I found this fabric among mounds of browns and earth tone textiles. This light colors stood out and I fell in love!
There was less than a meter and a half of this fabric and about 40cm of that was damaged, but I made it work and this is what resulted!!
I used pattern L from Stylish Dress Book vol2 removed the skirt, shortened the sleeves, omitted a closure, and added pockets!
I especially love how the pattern matches up.
